Orvis Pro Waterproof Hip Pack 10L

Our 10L PRO Waterproof Hip Pack is constructed from 840-denier, abrasion- and puncture-resistant ballistic nylon, and then coated with .1mm TPU on both sides of the fabric. We’ve yet to see a more waterproof and more thoroughly seam-sealed pack collection on the planet.

At 10L of storage space capacity-wise, this hip pack houses everything from fly boxes and leaders to tippet and other essential gear, and distributes that weight across your hips, freeing up valuable room across your chest and back for casting, rowing, and bushwhacking. Naturally, the pack includes the wildly popular, patented, easy-access Tippet Whippet docking station, now welded onto the fabric instead of sewn in so there’s no possibility of water leakage. Also note the beefy, submersible, easy-slide, #10 TIZIP® MasterSeal zipper, as that one’s critical. With actual teeth that grab and seal, it prevents the dreaded blowout that plagues packs with a sandwich bag-style closure.

Gear stays bone dry and access is easy, thanks to a generous opening with an interior we’ve brightened up by adding a high-vis chartreuse color. We’ve also redesigned the hip strap, lumbar panel, and removable shoulder strap with perforated 10mm foam padding, decreasing weight and bulk while allowing for better air circulation. Deep dive into further features and you’ll find a net scabbard with tool docking on one hip panel and a mesh pocket on the other, a fly-drying patch, a second, water-resistant accessory pocket with YKK AquaGuard® zipper, water bottle pocket with retention leash, and an internal hanging pocket.

For those who love an unencumbered feel while fly fishing, whether a guide or hardcore angler, the Orvis Guide Hip Pack offers 9 liters of capacity and a highly innovative design to please any organizational perfectionist. The 100% recycled ECO CORDURA® Guide Hip Pack has the new Patented Tippet Whippet recessed docking station with tippet bar included for instant, fixed, and fumble-free access for up to six spools. The large main compartment is topped with a large fly patch and inside are a zip pocket, drop-in pockets, and stretch mesh sorting pockets. Smaller front compartment with mesh pockets. The substantial side panels both have zip pockets and hidden net scabbards that store a net with instant access. A lo-pro zinger/nipper pass-through port and small zip pocket on one side and a water bottle holder on the other. Included are two straps, one lightweight neck strap and one heavier shoulder strap with multiple docking stations, a zip pocket, and fly patch. In sand.
